Riders on the storm. We got a killer on the road! How do you feel about hitchhiking? Have you done it?

I have not hitchhiked myself but I have picked up hitchhikers. I think that It’s nice to have someone to talk to on the roads.

i don’t know where you’re from,but i’m from NE MT.i’ve hitchhiked many times around here.the people are very friendly and trusting,mostly farmers and rural families.the trust is mutual among everyone.and a good deed is expected to be passed on to another.i’ve even been given gas,and told don’t worry about paying back,just help the next guy.now around big cities,i wouldn’t know.oh,and i love the doors.

    done it sure both ways ive hitch a ride across the states once and i dont pick up every one but ones who look as if they need help sure should do it as you would want it done for you or at least stop to ask if one needs help

    i’ve picked up close to 100 hitch hikers over the years. never had a problem with a single one. i’ve had some great conversations and really helped some people out doing it.

    most of this ‘killer on the road’ stuff is from one or two incidences that have given the whole process a bad name…

    be smart though, if you’re a man, don’t pick up women alone. you are setting yourself up for accusations and other issues. if you’re a woman, don’t pick up men. don’t let them ride behind you without another rider with them. if you have two people, one of you ride in the back and make them ride up front. you can watch them better if you do.
