Welcome to KickstartPress

multi

I’d personally like to welcome all to my new Internet venture - KickstartPress.

KickstartPress is an online publishing house producing quality downloadable information in all forms of multimedia formats: eBooks, audiobooks, screencasts and eCourses.

Our emphasis is in the online startup market, thus our tagline: "kickstart your Startup."

What you won’t see at KickstartPress as we start rolling out our publications: gimmicky, pushy hype that is 90% B.S. and simply uses any and all the sneaky tricks in the physiological marketers’ handbook.

What you will see at KickstartPress: publications that offer concise step-by-step actionable items on niche topics written in a very simple, practical manner … and best of all - no massive long sales page to convince you that you’d be "stupid" not to buy.

I can tell you that our flagship publication, which is currently in development, will be called Kickstart your Startup and will be a multimedia feast for your eyes and ears.

One more point I’d like to add, I’m very sensitive to pricing in the information products industry. I’m sick and tired of $47, $67, $97 and $497 price tags.

I know, I know, it’s the perceived value and for some reason those numbers just seem to work - but … I’ve decided to completely scrap those sort of pricing’s at KickstartPress. I’m going for affordable price setting that is reasonable for the publication and it’s contents that is being offered. So you’re more likely to see a $24.95 price than a $47 one.

I know I’ll no doubt be leaving lots of money on the table but at least I can live with myself knowing I’m helping others and not seeing you as simply cash cows.

So thanks for reading my "welcome" post and do sign up to the free newsletter to your right and you’ll be kept up-to-date with tips, offers, early-bird discounts etc., from KickstartPress.

Cheers and all the best in your online business,

Martin Neumann

Hi Martin, a nice clean blog with an impressive message.

I would like to say though that you’ve just SHOT yourself in the foot here.

You say you’re not going with the ‘psychobabblers’ who price everything to a preset format, and then you offer a perceived price tag of $24.95 instead of $47-.

Personally, I think both price formats are offensive to most ‘ordinary’ people.

The ‘magic 7′ everyone knows about now anyway and just accepts it as the norm.
But the $24.95 is just like the car salesman on your street corner, because the price you REALLY mean is $25- so be honest and STATE $25-.

You’ll get a lot more respect from your fresh customer base as everyone is now sick to death of seeing the .95 or .99 on the end of every price tag that doesn’t end in ‘7′.

Hope this is taken in the positive spirit it was intended.

    Good luck,

    Pete.

Hi Pete - definitely taken in a positive spirit.

In fact, I’m just polishing up a post where I encourage everyone who reads this blog to virtually slap me down if I get too hypey or start straying down the sleazy road of IM trickery.

I promise you one thing: you won’t be seeing a 7 at the end of any of my products. Full Stop!

I was swaying between prices like $24.95 and $25 and thought long and hard about it - the fact that traditional booksellers ALL use the .95 or .99 tactic swayed me a little.

But remember, I’m just starting out and nothing is set in stone - so a round figure is definitely on the cards - it might even help me to differentiate from the rest - a selling point maybe.

Thanks for taking the time to have your say - I gotta go and get my foot checked out now. :-)
